Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Monterey, California

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Monterey, California. The successful candidate will be part of our team, working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role involves general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation tasks, in addition to handling accounts payable and receivable.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Prepare financial statements and reports, providing detailed insight into company performance

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions

• Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring all employees are paid in accordance with their contracts

• Utilize accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite to maintain and update financial records

• Conduct account reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy of financial data

• Communicate effectively with clients and managers, ensuring all queries and issues are resolved in a timely manner

• Adhere to all deadlines, ensuring all accounting tasks are completed within the set time frames

• Undertake other projects and duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to handle duties related to General Ledger

• Proficiency in making Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of Month End Close procedures

• Bachelor's or AA degree in Accounting or related field desired

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
