Accountemps is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. There is a job opening with great career growth potential and a great benefits package in this quickly growing accounting team. The strongest candidates for this position will be able to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. The Accounts Receivable Clerk must be a self-starter with high attention to detail, in order to handle 200+ invoices a week. This is a long term temporary-to-full time position.
Sort out payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers
Represent and exude the values, culture, and mission of the organization
Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans
Carry out an assortment of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers
Verify documents and codes
Strong attention to detail
Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Alpha 8,001 - 10,000 KPH experience preferred
Deep understanding of numeric data entry
General familiarity with ten key by touch
Numeric 8,001 - 10,000 KPH experience
Account analysis experience highly preferred
Adeptness in accounts receivable aging
Knowledge of data entry
Practical knowledge of 10 Key Accounting
Accounts receivable experience desired
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired
- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
