Robert Half Staff Accountant in Monterey Park, California
Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to become an integral part of our team located in Monterey Park, California, 91754, United States. The selected candidate will primarily handle the management of financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, as well as daily financial entries. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health and stability of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain up-to-date financial records for the company.
• Process transactions related to accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, general ledgers, and perform journal entries.
• Support in the preparation of financial statements and reports when required.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Contribute to budget preparation and financial forecasting processes.
• Collaborate with different departments to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
• Involve in ad hoc projects as required and contribute where needed, even if not directly related to accounting.
• Have a deep understanding of COGS, cost accounting, and other aspects related to manufacturing accounting.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action. Requirements • Possess knowledge and experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger operations
• Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries
• Experience in conducting Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Ability to work under strict deadlines and pressure
• High ethical standards and professionalism, as this role involves dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
