Description

We have an immediate need for an Interim Accounting Manager with a manufacturing client, located in Montgomery, Alabama. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks, including managing month-end close processes, maintaining fixed assets, and overseeing journal entries. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the entire financial close process

• Maintain and manage fixed assets, including booking and tracking

• Conduct roll forward procedures, understanding the requirements and implications of the process

• Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timely completion

• Analyze expenses and provide relevant insights for management decision-making

• Utilize ERP systems for executing various accounting functions

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed

• Conduct periodic auditing to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations

Requirements

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential

• Significant experience in Accounting Functions is required

• Familiarity with Auditing procedures and principles is necessary

• Capable of efficiently managing the Month End Close process

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

• CPA or other related accounting designation is preferred.
