Description
Senior Accountant
Our client in the Montgomeryville, PA area is looking for a Senior Accountant for a contract role. As the Senior Accountant you will be responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle from receipt of invoices to payment, including coding invoices, matching purchase orders, obtaining approval, and entering the invoices into the accounting system.
Responsibilities of Senior Accountant
Manage vendor relations and build effective partnerships
Process cash receipts and accounts receivable maintenance transactions.
Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders
Assist team with gathering support for all audits, including pulling documentation.
Partner with Accounting Manager to identify and implement process improvements
Responsible for monthly accounts payable journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Requirements
Skills/Qualifications of Senior Accountant
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years’ experience as a Senior Accountant
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and technology skills
Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel (PIVOT TABLES, VLOOKUP’s, SUMIf’s, etc.)
