A company Robert Half has partnered with is looking for a Financial Analyst to join a fast-growing team. Complete Financial Analyst's responsibilities such as, provide daily support to the accounting and finance departments, as well as perform routine assignments and solve routine/standard problems with limited discretion. The Financial Analyst role calls for a flexible professional skilled at handling an extensive amount of data while delegating expectations. Candidates that are solution-oriented and interested in analysis, should apply to this Financial Analyst role. This long-term contract employment opportunity is based in the Moorestown, New Jersey area.

Key responsibilities:

  • Produce interesting alternatives and counseling to reduce costs and develop financial performance of a company

  • Aid in annual budgeting process

  • Periodically demonstrate difficult financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects

  • Direct internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits

  • Review closing results at the corporate and division levels

  • Fact-check and query a considerable amounts of data

  • Accommodate a number of aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)

  • Be engaged in ensuring adequate controls and procedures

  • Reinforce the monitoring and maintaining internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements

  • Unify and interpret budgets and income statement forecasts

  • Aid in the preparation of monthly financial reporting and other business data


  • 1+ years of experience required

  • Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight

  • Solid understanding of navigating basic office equipment and protocols

  • Bachelors' degree in finance or a related field

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

  • Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

    • Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
