Description
We are on the hunt for a proactive Tax Associate to join our team, based in South Jersey. The Tax Associate candidate will be instrumental in the public tax sector, interfacing with clients, maintaining financial records, and assisting in audit processes. This role is an ideal match for someone with an eye for detail and a knack for regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
Engage with clients to comprehend their financial needs and ensure delivery of high-quality service.
Carry out extensive bookkeeping tasks, maintaining accurate and organized financial records.
Assist in audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and supporting materials.
Uphold adherence to regulatory and accounting standards, staying updated with changes and updates.
Prepare financial statements and reports for clients, contributing to our reputation for excellence.
Identify opportunities for process enhancement, proposing and implementing improvements where applicable.
Contribute to business development efforts by providing financial expertise and participating in client meetings as needed.
Requirements
The ideal Tax Associate candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred.
Other requirements for the Tax Associate position include and are not limited to:
2+ years public or private accounting experience
Bookkeeping experience preferred
Experience with ProSystem Tax
Experience with Quickbooks and Excel
Understanding of accounting principles, concepts, and procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
