Robert Half Logistics Analyst in Mooresville, North Carolina

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Logistics Analyst in Mooresville, North Carolina. This role requires you to serve as a key communicator between customers, salespersons, and our team to ensure orders are shipped efficiently and effectively. You will be dealing with both national and international customers, thus, a sound understanding of shipping regulations and requirements for different countries is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with customers or salesperson responsible for an order to facilitate its shipping

• Determine the most efficient and cost-effective method of transit for orders

• Collaborate with the crating department to ensure best practices in packaging and protection of shipped items

• Navigate vendor portals and select appropriate vendors based on the requirements of the order and cost considerations

• Manage freight orders and update tracking numbers into the system

• Ensure proper document control for future reference and invoicing needs

• Apply knowledge of Tariff Codes and NFMC codes for proper classification of shipments

• Complete necessary documents such as NAFTAS and SLIs, and provide any additional documents required by customers

• Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and other software such as IBM AS/400, Microsoft Excel for managing logistics and accounting functions

• Ensure excellent customer service while handling inquiries and resolving concerns about shipments. Requirements • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 and Management System

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and About Time software

• Understanding of Accounting Functions and Customer Service principles

• Strong Documentation skills

• Prior experience in the Logistics field

• Experience in conducting Annual Inventory

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred

• Relevant certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management will be an advantage
