Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Morristown, New Jersey
Description We are in the travel agency industry, located in Morristown, New Jersey, and currently seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Analyst. This role is crucial to our IT department, forming a key link between business users, IT, and our key IT service providers. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Provide initial technical support on user IT issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Efficiently manage the support queue in our Call Management System (Service Now).
• Act as a liaison with IT technical support Service Providers to maintain streamlined communication.
• Support IT counterparts and end-users to maximize system utility and user experience.
• Assist users with desktop-related queries to mitigate any technology-related obstacles.
• Efficiently manage the Incident/Request queues in Service Now to ensure timely resolution.
• Triage queues and assign calls to Service Providers where appropriate to ensure efficient problem-solving.
• Provide a contact point for Service Providers to facilitate seamless communication.
• Administer user accounts to ensure secure and efficient access to necessary systems.
• Set up and configure mobile devices, providing remote support for Outside Sales team when required.
• Participate in projects, possibly managing small projects, to support the overall IT objectives. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role or similar
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows operating systems
• Adept at troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Excellent communication skills to effectively assist staff with technical issues
• Proven ability to work independently and within a team
• Must have a strong customer service orientation
• Familiarity with ITIL processes would be advantageous
• Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
