Description
Our client is a global law firm seeking a Senior Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney/Senior Counsel with 10+ years of experience. The ideal candidate is a bright attorney and an excellent writer who is highly motivated and proactive with their caseload. This individual should be able to act independently and be comfortable taking on a leadership role with their cases. We are looking for someone with experience and an interest in working on complex insurance coverage litigation matters, and who is comfortable interacting with high-level executives of major insurance companies.
Position Overview:
The role involves representing insurers in complex commercial litigation and insurance coverage matters. This includes defending consumer class actions against insurers, handling coverage disputes related to general liability and professional liability policies, and managing bad faith coverage litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney who thrives in a busy and fast-paced team environment and is looking to grow.
Responsibilities:
Develop litigation strategies for insurance coverage litigation, business disputes, and class actions
Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda
Analyze insurance policies, draft analyses of coverage issues, and provide coverage advice and recommendations to clients
Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, interrogatories, and other legal correspondence and litigation documents
Take and defend depositions
Attend court hearings and mediations
Perform document review
Manage all aspects of pretrial to trial
Supervise associates and paralegals
Interact with clients
Requirements
Education and Experience Required:
10+ years of insurance coverage litigation experience, particularly with commercial general liability policies
State and federal court experience
Excellent academic credentials
Solid work history
Admitted in New Jersey
