We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Billing Specialist located in Morristown, Tennessee. You will be part of a team working in the industry, where your primary role will entail handling complex billing matters, ensuring the correctness of pricing, freight costs, and state taxes. Your role will also involve dealing with bills of lading, providing customer service to our broad client base, and collaborating with management on special projects.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex billing tasks, ensuring accurate pricing and amounts

• Verify freight costs and state taxes are correct in all billing documents

• Research and resolve discrepancies tied to pricing and other billing matters

• Receive and verify data in bills of lading

• Provide exemplary customer service to a broad client base

• Collaborate with management on special projects

• Utilize accounting software systems for various accounting functions

• Handle accounts receivable and answer inbound calls in a detail oriented manner

• Prepare and send out billing statements using billing software

• Investigate invoice discrepancies and resolve them promptly

• Use Microsoft Excel for various tasks and reporting.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to handle and manage Answering Inbound Calls

• Demonstrated proficiency in Billing procedures and processes

• Capability to prepare and manage Billing Statements

• Knowledge of various Billing Functions

• Proficient in using Billing software

• Able to identify and resolve Invoice Discrepancies

• Experienced in Researching Discrepancies

• Skills to Resolve Discrepancies efficiently

• Familiarity with Bills of Lading

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
