This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Morristown, Tennessee area, at a company where effort is rewarded. This position is for candidates with the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. You will be preferred for this role if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner
Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

Requirements - Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Fixed Asset Depreciation
Earlier work involving Microsoft Excel
Background working with AS400
Comprehensive knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Adeptness in month end closings
Practical knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Annual Inventory experience preferred
Command of Depreciation Schedule
General familiarity with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Journal entries experience
Vow to meet business deadlines
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Proficient in ERP systems
