Robert Half Finance has an opportunity for someone with a knack for leading with high standards, positively motivating others, and making critical decisions and have experience taking charge of an accounting department to become a Financial Controller at a reputable company. Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller, to undertake all aspects of financial management of a global manufacturing company, including financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, review of capital projects, financial risk management assessments, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The Controller position is a full-time opportunity in the South Jersey region.

What you get to do every single day:

  • Consolidated monthly reporting of the financial results of client and subsidiaries

  • Provide financial analysis to the CEO, President and CFO as required

  • Review annual budgets and forecasts

  • Maintain banking relationships

  • Review capital expenditure proposals

  • Manage local US accounting team

  • Coordinate yearly budget review meetings and mid-year review meetings

    Requirements

The ideal Financial Controller candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. CPA or CMA required

Other requirements for the Financial Controller position include and are not limited to:

  • 7+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience

  • Manufacturing experience required

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

  • Experience in managing and consolidating the financial reporting of a multi-national business.

  • Experience in reviewing financing statements and providing financial analysis to senior management.

  • Corporate tax experience preferred

  • Excellent ERP, accounting software user and administration skills

  • Advanced computer skills including Excel, Word and familiarity with general ledger software packages required.
