Robert Half Medical Billing Manager in Mount Laurel, New Jersey

Description

Robert Half Finance & Accounting has partnered with a company that is seeking a results-oriented Medical Billing Manager. The Medical Billing Manager will be responsible for auditing medical record documentation to identify under coded and up coded services. The Medical Billing Manager will also be responsible for preparing reports of findings and meets with providers to provide education and training on accurate coding practices and compliance issues. Key responsibilities:

  • Oversees and streamlines billing and collections processes.

  • Performs month-end closing of the billing group information.

  • Plans and implements quality assurance for all processes.

  • Develops direct reports and conducts staff meetings on a regular basis.

  • Assists with the implementation of billing systems.

  • Conducts regular audits of staff claim work for accuracy and quality.

  • Resolves escalated patient issues/complaints.

  • Prepares and analyzes reports of audit review and performance issues with a focus on identifying trends, instituting continuous quality improvement initiatives, and identifies and provides on-going training opportunities for Revenue Cycle staff.

    Requirements

The ideal Medical Billing Manager candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Medical Billing Manager position include and are not limited to:

  • 7+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

  • Certificate in Medical Coding (AAPC) (AIHMA) or equivalent

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software.

  • Knowledge of auditing concepts and principles.

  • Advanced knowledge of medical coding and billing systems and regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
