Robert Half HR Services in San Jose, CA is seeking a HR Generalist for our client in Mountain View, CA. This is a 6 months contract opportunity and potential for contract to direct full-time. This role can interview and start immediately.

HR Generalist Responsibilities Include: · Administering compensation and benefit plans · Assisting in talent acquisition and recruitment processes · Conducting employee onboarding and help plan training & development when necessary Job brief We are looking for an success driven Human Resources (HR) Generalist to implement a variety of human resource programs. The HR department will depend on your assistance in a number of important functions such as staffing, compensation and benefits, training and development. If you are looking to kickstart your career in HR, this is the place to be. Due to the diversity of responsibilities of the role, the ideal candidate will be a competent and resourceful individual with a passion for HR. The goal is to ensure the HR department’s operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole. Responsibilities · Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes · Conduct employee onboarding and help plan training & development · Provide support to employees in various HR related topics such as leaves, compensation etc. and resolve issues and problems · Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace · Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies · Undertake tasks in performance management · Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics · Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form • Responsible for processing leave of absence (FMLA, CFRA) inhouse – they have a benefits person doing this now, but will be the back up • Process employee relations (open to training to do the complex type like investigation) • Hands on experience assisting with onboarding new hires • Assist with other HR duties.

Requirements

Employee Relations, Employee Relations Investigations, California Labor Law, Labor Law HR Generalist Skills and Qualifications: • Self-starter able to conceptualize and drive initiatives forward • Positive attitude and motivated by contributing to the overall success of team • Attention to detail, well organized and able to multi-task and work on may projects at once • Comfortable moving at a fast pace and in ambiguous environments • Willing to address difficult situations head on with patience and respect. • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field. • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the HR field • SHRM CP or PHR certification preferred • Experience working in manufacturing environments • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Must be an effective hands-on manager capable of resolving organizational, training, communication, and interpersonal problems that may arise. • Must possess solid knowledge on employee rights and employer responsibilities arising under federal and state laws.
