Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Mountain View, California
A reputable company is seeking an experienced, organized Senior Financial Analyst to join their efforts on a long-term contract / temporary basis. The Senior Financial Analyst consultant is in charge of project spending, planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting, serving as the primary point of contact for all financial issues. You will need to follow public reporting requirements in order to perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments, as well as provide decision-making support for future company investments.
Your responsibilities in this role
Assess and execute financial analysis in order to optimize business performance
Assist in other ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests
Evaluate financial results, summarize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly reporting to senior leadership
Make business, operational, and financial processes to be shared, understood, and repeated by relevant teams
Collaborate with Operations and Accounting to drive improved management reporting by tracking financial results more discreetly and accurately
Build positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership
Collaborate with Functional leads to execute management reporting, accounting and compliance advisement, and coordinate alignment of operational initiatives
Drive existing management reporting - analyze financial results, distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to senior management
Highly skilled with Microsoft PowerPoint
5+ years of experience in relevant operations finance needed
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Well-versed in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
CPA or MBA preferred
Microsoft Excel experience
Tableau experience required
Expert Microsoft Excel skills required
Able to work across teams and gain consensus of a group of individuals
Necessary education includes a BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
Ability to think critically and interact with management
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effective
