Robert Half IT Support Engineer in Mountainside, New Jersey

Description We are seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our team located in Mountainside, New Jersey. In this role, you will provide both onsite and remote technical support, assisting with system maintenance, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role is situated in the service industry and is a promising opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to and enter help desk tickets, providing Level 1 and Level 2 support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

• Assist with system maintenance tasks, including patching and scripting.

• Provide technical support for Windows PCs, peripherals, mobile devices, printers, and VoIP phones.

• Offer technical support and training for Microsoft 365 applications.

• Perform user creation, maintenance, and password resets in Active Directory/Entra, Intune portal.

• Utilize Microsoft 365 Security Center to manage security policies, monitor threats, and protect organizational data against cyber risks.

• Manage and resolve issues related to network infrastructure, including experience with firewalls and Unifi portal systems.

• Administer SharePoint environments, manage files, and perform regular backups to ensure data integrity and availability in cloud storage solutions.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VPN connections to ensure secure and reliable remote access for users.

• Assist with training and implementing best practices for users.

• Image and configure laptops and PCs for users. Requirements • Proficient in Active Directory and Azure Active Directory

• Demonstrable experience with Microsoft 365 Enterprise

• Ability to manage and troubleshoot Remote Access VPNs

• Familiarity with Firewall configurations and maintenance

• Solid understanding of Server Administration

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Strong communication and team collaboration skills

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

• Relevant certifications or degree in Information Technology or related field

• Commitment to continuous professional development in the IT field

• Proven experience in a similar role

• Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment
