Robert Half Assistant Controller in Mt Dora, Florida
Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity in Mt Dora, Florida for an Assistant Controller to join a growing client's team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation of financial statements, manage journal entries, invoices and other accounting tasks. You will also participate in the preparation for the annual audit and assist in developing reports for management or regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate data reporting
• Assist with the development of budgets or forecasts
• Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
• Utilize Quickbooks accounting system to streamline processes and maintain records
• Participate in the preparation for the annual audit
• Assist in the creation of financial statements in accordance with official guidelines and requirements
• Manage journal entries, invoices and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing

Requirements • At least 5 years of experience in a role similar to Assistant Controller.
• Proficiency in Job Cost accounting methods is required.
• Strong background in Financial Reporting, with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
• Prior experience with accounting software is essential.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with various departments.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to oversee a team.
• Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and changes.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in office productivity software, particularly spreadsheet applications.
