Description
We're seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual for this long-term contract position as a Data Entry Clerk. This position is based in Mount Pleasant, SC, and will fully support this team by maintaining and updating our database and ensuring the accuracy of all data entries pertaining to service contracts.
Job Summary: The data entry clerk will be responsible for accurately inputting and updating details in the data system, particularly those related to service contracts. The ideal candidate will ensure that all data entries are accurate and updated promptly, in addition to identifying and rectifying any errors or inaccuracies which arise during the data entry and verification processes.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
• Accurately inputting information related to service contracts and related amendments into the data system.
• Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all data entries.
• Identifying and rectifying any errors found during the data entry and verification stages.
• Accurately recording and categorizing errors for tracking and future prevention.
• Obtaining the necessary signatures for authorization purposes.
• Escalating complex issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution.
Requirements • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Possess strong 10 Key Skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient in data entry
• Able to perform calculations accurately and quickly
• Experience with email correspondence
• Ability to organize files efficiently
• Skilled in scanning documents
• Fast and accurate typing skills
• Experience in the Import/Export industry
• Knowledge of logistics processes and procedures
• Familiarity with shipping documentation is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work well in a team
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
• High level of professionalism and integrity
• Familiarity with logistics software or systems is a plus
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and environment
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on new tasks as needed.
