Robert Half Staff Accountant in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant for our team in the legal industry based in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. The role involves managing accounts payable and expense, conducting credit and bank reconciliation, and handling month-end close procedures in a law firm setting. The selected candidate will also be expected to be proficient in Quickbooks online.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable and expense management.

• Perform credit card and bank reconciliation to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Conduct month-end close procedures to keep track of the firm's financial status.

• Handle journal entries as part of the general ledger responsibilities.

• Utilize QuickBooks online for various accounting tasks.

• Ensure accurate record keeping of accounts receivable.

• Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and systems.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports when needed.

• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

• Adhere to legal standards and comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.

Requirements • Must possess at least three years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar role within the legal industry

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management is required

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations is essential

• Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries is expected

• Ability to handle Month End Close procedures is required

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software is desired

• Experience in Credit Card Reconciliation is a plus

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills are desired

• Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Must possess a strong ethical framework and professional integrity.
