The Senior Accountant is responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Practical knowledge of Corporate Tax
Proficiency in account reconciliation
Proven knowledge of financial analysis
Quality experience with Audit Reports
Solid understanding of GAAP Accounting
Compliance experience preferred
Command of Audited Financial Statements
Well-founded grasp of budgeting
General familiarity with budget forecasting
Operating Policies experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Skilled at time management
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
