Description

We're looking for a skilled, full-time Senior Accountant to join a budding company in the Healthcare/NHS industry in the North Dallas, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. In addition to a strong compensation and benefits package, this position offers a great long-term potential. This Senior Accountant role is based in Addison, Texas with a company in the Healthcare/NHS field.

How you will make an impact

  • Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner

  • Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external

  • Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Engage in various department-wide initiatives

  • Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required

    Requirements - 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

  • Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel

  • Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

  • Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing

  • Exceptional time management skills preferred

  • Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Current and relevant ERP system experience

  • Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
