Description
Robert Half Legal is partnering with an industry leading, global corporation located in Naperville that's seeking to immediately hire an Employment Counsel with at least 3-5+ years of experience to join their in-house legal team. This position will counsel leadership on all aspects of daily employment-related issues, including hiring and termination, accommodations, discrimination, harassment and retaliation, wage and hour, as well as employee investigations. The ideal candidate will have a mix of employment counseling and litigation experience. This position is paying between $150-170K. In addition, this position offers a phenomenal WFH schedule, only needing to come into the office 2x per month.
Employment Counsel Responsibilities:
Drafts responses to various administrative agencies
Partners and liaises with outside counsel on legal matters, litigation and manages relevant external consultants
Counsels on employment law, employee relations, ethics, privacy, transparency, and regulatory and governmental changes and compliance
Investigates and responds to charges filed against the Company at the federal, state and local administrative level
Evaluates and analyzes legal cases including analyzing and responding to subpoenas received by the company
Performs pre-litigation work
Assists with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts pertaining to employment law activities

Requirements
JD and Licensed in IL
3-5+ years of experience in employment law
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Exceptional writing skills
Strong overall broad legal knowledge of employment laws, litigation, employment agreements
