Description
Our dynamic client within the construction industry is looking to staff a Senior Project Accounting with proven AIA billing expertise. As the Senior Project you will oversee the financial management of the organization’s projects including: overseeing project budgets, monitoring expenditures, providing financial analysis, review project contracts, processing client invoices, reviewing/processing project adjustments, preparing project costs, and handling subcontracts and subcontractor change orders.
This Senior Project Accountant must have strong knowledge of construction related accounting software, solid communication skills, experience with lump sum project accounting, and excellent time management abilities.
How you will make an impact
· Create and monitor project accounts
· Process subcontractor invoices
· Verify project budgets
· Provide profit analysis reports to management
· Compile monthly project reconciliations
· Audit change orders
· Maintain documentation for compliance
· Project Analysis
· Assist with month/quarter-end process
· Ad hoc projects as requested
Requirements
The ideal Senior Project Accountant will preferably have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.
Other requirements for the Senior Project Accountant role include and are not limited to:
· MUST have 3+ construction/project accounting experience
· MUST have AIA billing experience
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills
· Sage software experience preferred
