Robert Half Accounting Manager in Nashville, Tennessee

Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in the healthcare industry, based in Nashville, Tennessee. This role primarily involves the leadership of an accounting team, reviewing financials, and handling software such as NetSuite and MS Excel. Client prefers onsite but open to 100% remote for highly qualified candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including journal entries and reconciliations

• Lead an accounting team, including an intern, staff, and two seniors

• Review and verify the work of accountants to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Regularly review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance

• Handle consolidated financials for multiple entities (performed in Excel)

• Provide support for tie-outs using NetSuite and MS Excel

• Utilize skills in Adjusting Journal Entries, Journal Entries, Financial Statement Preparation, and Supporting Documents

• Ensure the appropriate accounting control procedures are in place and followed

• Analyze financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs

• Work closely with team members to achieve organizational goals.

Requirements

• Proficiency in creating and managing journal entries is essential

• Required to have experience in financial statement preparation

• Proficiency in using NetSuite software is preferred

• Must be able to handle and maintain supporting documents effectively

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or in the field of accounting

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Must adhere to professional ethics and demonstrate a high level of integrity

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

• Must be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• A professional accounting certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
