Robert Half Bookkeeper in Nashville, Tennessee

Description We are in search of a meticulous Bookkeeper to join our team based in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be tasked with the management and maintenance of our financial records, including the handling of accounts payable and receivable, recording financial transactions, and completing annual tax forms. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health and transparency of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers in compliance with established policies and procedures.

• Record daily financial transactions diligently.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

• Record and reconcile all transactions in the general ledger.

• Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements.

• Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and entered into the company's ERP system.

• Assist with tax audit and tax return preparation.

• Manage payroll function and ensure all salary entries comply with current income tax legislation.

• Liaise with external auditors and manage internal controls.

• Resolve any discrepancies or irregularities identified. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Bookkeeper role or similar.

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations.

• Solid understanding and experience in Bookkeeping.

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks.

• Experience in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks.

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures.

• Experience in managing Payroll.

• Proficiency in using Datafaction software.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and part of a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field would be advantageous.

• Familiarity with accounting software and systems.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
