Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the finance industry, located in Nashville, Tennessee. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing all financial operations, analyzing financial strengths and weaknesses, proposing corrective actions, and overseeing audit and tax functions.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
• Analyze the company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets.
• Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors.
• Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures.
• Handle all corporate and human resource activities including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance and related activities.
• Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms performance.
• Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
• Develop and coordinate relationships with lending/financial institutions.
• Develop and maintain a reliable cash forecast process and reporting mechanism.
• Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Requirements • Significant experience in the role of Controller, with a minimum of 10 years in similar positions.
• Strong proficiency in 3M and other accounting software systems.
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services.
• Experience with CRM and Crystal Reports.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions.
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Proven experience in auditing processes and procedures.
• Demonstrated skills in budget processes.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
