Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Nashville, Tennessee

Description We are in search of an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role involves overseeing a variety of accounting tasks, such as balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, and journal entries, in a construction industry environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to our team's success.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations

• Participate in regular tax audits and payroll

• Prepare budgeting reports and forecast revenues

• Manage month-end and year-end closing

• Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department

• Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records

• Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives

• Establish accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company's targets

• Ensure compliance with the law.

Skills:

• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Proficiency in use of Viewpoint Vista and Construction Accounting

• Experience with Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant or related position

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Skilled in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with Viewpoint Vista software

• Knowledge of Construction Accounting is essential

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
