Description

You could find the new opportunity you've been looking for in this Project Manager/ Sr. Consultant position, if you're a talented candidate. Someone who is adept at managing key stakeholders and delivering value based on changing expectations and preferences will be best for this position. Our client has a strategic business plan that requires a Senior Project Manager at the center. The position is based in Nashville, TN, but the work will primarily be done remotely. Preference for candidates in the Central or Eastern time zones, but please understand that hours will have to be flexible as there are offices in other cities within the US as well as in Asia. Be able to understand/navigate challenges due to managing remote team members across time zones. Fluent in English. Ability to work after hours to cover time zone differences and travel up to 25% during various phases of the project.

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for managing cross functional complex projects related to new technology initiatives and implementations.

You will be the project owner who will develop the plan with the project team and will ultimately be responsible for meeting the timelines. You do not need to be an IT Project Manager, but there will be IT components to be managed within the larger project. So your skills should be in business Project Management in general.

Experience Leading diverse project implementation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Significant broad experience in leading, managing, negotiating and implementing large complex projects over multiple business units. You will be the PM over projects that could develop applications technologies. Requires no supervision.

Capable of leading and directing others as well as communicating and presenting to executives and large cross functional groups. Capable of leading, managing, delivering medium sized business solutions over multiple functional business units encompassing various applications technologies, interfaces and oversight of development activities.

Experience managing all PMI knowledge areas. Capable of developing project charters, details, project plans, budgets, snapping baselines, managing critical path, tracking variances effectively, communicating status to all stakeholders.

Experience with leading to a Software Development Life Cycle methodology i.e Waterfall/Agile. Able to come up to speed on new business processes technologies or capabilities while understanding risks and implications to project deliverables. Experience working with vendors, legal, finance, procurement, HR, IT architects, infrastructure security compliance.

Capable of resolving issues, driving decisions, escalating risks and motivating team members. Proficiency required in Microsoft Project Professional 2010 Server.

For the right person, this could even become a permanent role.

We are looking for someone with Project Management Professional designation, preferred, and at least 5 years of solid project management experience.

Requirements

  1. Ability to lead large cross functional global initiatives

with diverse scope from Ideation thru Commercialization and Scale of Solution.

  1. Build and execute a Project Plan in alignment with

Leadership’s Roadmap and Deliverables with standard project documentation,

holding internal and external team members accountable to tasks and timelines

and escalation of issues/risks with mitigation plans

  1. Highly motivated individual with the ability to drive and

execute initiatives with the ability to work in a fast paced agile environment

  • A Project Management (PMP) certification is strongly preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant Project Management experience

  • Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight

  • Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job

assignments - this role will involve a certain level of ambiguity in directives

initially as the project gets fleshed out.

  • Earlier work involving Implement Strategies

  • Travel experience preferred
