Description Robert Half is seeking a bookkeeper for a permanent employment opportunity to place with one of their clients. This Bookkeeper role comes with minimal supervision and tight deadline expectations, if you are an accounting professionals seeking an opportunity, this could be for you. The Bookkeeper is in charge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation, and month-end closing. Additionally, the Bookkeeper will handle coding, light journal entries or general ledger reconciliation and perform data entry, cash applications, and full cycle A/P. This Bookkeeper opportunity will be located in the Dover, Massachusetts area and will be a permanent position. Apply immediately!

Key responsibilities

  • Organize sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Uphold monthly accounting close

  • Adept in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Assemble monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Uphold a general ledger

  • Maintain Accounts Payable

  • Produce subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Direct monthly accounting close

  • Draw up cash flow projections, as needed

  • Extra unique tasks if required

  • Handle Accounts Receivable Requirements - Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

    • 1+ years of related experience- Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills

    • Crucial accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

  • Detailed and have the ability work independently

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

  • Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Adeptness in manual payroll

  • Practical knowledge of bank reconciliations

  • Foundational knowledge in Local Payroll Tax

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Process Payroll

  • Proficiency in bi-Monthly Payroll

  • Microsoft Excel experience highly preferred

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

  • General familiarity with Check Runs

  • Payroll experience highly desired

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards
