Robert Half Grant Accountant in National City, California
Description We are offering an opportunity for a Grant Accountant in the Non-Profit industry based in National City, California. In this role, you will be expected to prepare and analyze financial statements, conduct cash flow analysis, and manage bank reconciliation processes. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with internal teams and provide insights on financial performance.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed financial audits to assess accuracy and adherence to regulations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage bank reconciliation processes to ensure accurate reporting of cash balances.
• Conduct cash flow analysis to support financial planning and decision-making.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including monitoring debits and credits.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide insights on financial performance and areas for improvement.
• Utilize software like NetSuite, Oracle, and QuickBooks for efficient financial management and reporting.
• Stay updated on governmental accounting regulations and public accounting standards.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analytical support as needed.
• Manage Grant Accounting processes and ensure all related tasks are carried out effectively. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrated ability to handle bank reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger management and Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Working knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Expertise in Grant Accounting is mandatory
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion
• Willingness to adhere to all principles of confidentiality
• Must value operating in a collaborative and cooperative environment
• Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
