Description Accountemps has a great opportunity available for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with an organization that offers an appealing company culture among highly skilled professionals. While working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager, the candidate in this role will be expected to manage the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The essential functions of this role will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Implement full-cycle A/P Requirements - Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Comprehensive knowledge of Sage 50
0+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
