Robert Half Data Engineer in Neptune, New Jersey
Description We are inviting applications for a Data Engineer position based in Neptune, New Jersey. The role involves leading our data team, implementing system improvements, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making within the service industry.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and completion of system development projects and reports.
• Innovate and streamline processes and procedures for business systems, reporting, and data collection.
• Train staff on new processes to ensure current procedures adapt to a changing environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement system improvements.
• Maintain regular contact with finance teams and contracted programmers to update and manage the database.
• Monitor market changes and opportunities for conference data systems.
• Enhance the capabilities and leadership of the Data team through coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
• Participate in management teams and serve as a participant or project manager for assigned projects.
• Continuously grow in intercultural competence and build relationships rooted in honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Communicate clearly and accurately, both in writing and orally, with unifying messages that motivate people to action.
• Attend to details and deadlines, manage team performance, and set clear and measurable goals.
• Understand complex systems and organizations, leading people through change, disruption, and difference.
• Quickly master new system tools and applications.
• Understand complex systems, data compilation, and data manipulation. Requirements • Must have proficiency in Apache Kafka and Apache Spark
• Experience with Cloud Technologies is required
• Knowledge and understanding of Database management is essential
• Familiarity with EO/IR systems will be advantageous
• Experience in Algorithm Implementation is a must
• Must possess strong analytical skills
• Proficiency in Apache Hadoop is required
• Prior experience in API Development will be beneficial
• Knowledge of AWS Technologies is essential Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
