Description

We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. This role offers a great employment opportunity and involves reconciliations in the general ledger, accounts payable functions such as vendor management, invoice coding, managing cost centers, and expense payments. The position also requires liaising with large vendors and preparing for the year-end audit.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out reconciliations in the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records.

• Manage accounts payable functions, including vendor management and invoice coding.

• Oversee cost centers and handle expense payments to ensure efficient cost management.

• Liaise with large food vendors, fostering good relationships and ensuring smooth operations.

• Prepare for the year-end audit, ensuring all financial information is accurate and readily available.

• Assist in planning and execution.

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), Vendor Management, Invoice Coding, and Cost Centers to perform job functions effectively.

Requirements

• Proficient in account reconciliation and maintaining the general ledger.

• Hands-on experience in managing accounts payable (AP).

• Strong skills in vendor management and invoice coding.

• Solid understanding of cost centers and their application in accounting.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Commitment to ethical business conduct and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

• Willingness to continuously improve and adapt to new and changing systems and procedures.

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a high-paced work environment.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation would be considered an asset.
