Description We are looking for a Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in NEW ALBANY, Indiana. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity in the healthcare industry. The main job function will be to handle customer queries, maintain accurate records, and process applications.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications related to medical billing.

• Maintain meticulous customer credit records, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate.

• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Monitor customer accounts to identify any discrepancies or issues.

• Utilize skills in Allscripts and Cerner Technologies to efficiently manage data.

• Handle Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) and EHR SYSTEM tasks in the billing process.

• Utilize Epaces for various billing functions and account management.

• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks, ensuring all payments are tracked and recorded.

• Handle appeals and claim administration tasks, resolving any issues promptly.

• Carry out billing functions and benefit functions, ensuring all activities comply with industry standards. Requirements • Proficiency in Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)

• Experience with EHR SYSTEM and Epaces

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Ability to handle Appeals and understand Benefit Functions

• Experience in Billing Functions and Claim Administration

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure

• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

• Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge as the field evolves

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

• Knowledge of health care and insurance industry regulations

• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
