Description

We are looking for a Production Manager to join our team in Southern Indiana., The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating the operations of a production department. You will be expected to develop manpower loading requirements based on production guidelines, set priorities for production schedules, and manage labor hours to meet current sales.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of a production department

• Develop manpower loading requirements based on production guidelines

• Set priorities for production schedules based on new product introduction, efficiency, and materials supply

• Direct the work efforts of multiple supervisors

• Make budget recommendations on capital expenditures and labor

• Write Work Instructions and delegate tasks effectively

• Review and approve New Process Layouts

• Manage time sheets and ensure proper pay

• Lead and teach Supervisors to follow Fundamental Systems and hold them accountable

• Perform regular process improvement and defect reduction activity to meet customer needs utilizing PDCA

• Timely completion of documentation (daily management)

• Effectively communicate one on one or group meetings with all levels of management and team members.

Requirements

• Holds a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing

• Experience with Plastic Injection Molding and Technical Engineering

• Has a background in Production Management

• Strong Leadership Skills

• Proven knowledge in Continuous Process Improvement

• Familiar with budget preparation

• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team

• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects

• Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities

• Demonstrated ability to strategize and implement procedures

• Strong understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement

• Leadership experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
