Robert Half Collections Manager in New Berlin, Wisconsin

Description

We are seeking a Collections Manager for a New Berlin, WI area organization. This role involves managing customer accounts, processing credit applications, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the collection of outstanding credit and invoices to minimize profit loss while ensuring it is handled appropriately and professionally.

• Manage and evaluate the credit and collection processes, policies, and procedures with a continuous improvement mindset.

• Analyze the effectiveness of the company's credit control system and implement changes as necessary.

• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as clients and internal teams to ensure the smooth functioning of the credit control process.

• Handle escalated debt collection phone calls and negotiate payment plans with customers with overdue accounts.

• Manage the application of cash applications to ensure correct allocation.

• Oversee the resolution of customer credit issues or queries as required.

• Review customer credit applications and make decisions on creditworthiness.

• Monitor customer accounts details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.

• Perform account reconciliations and generate aging reports in compliance with company procedures.

Requirements

• Must have a strong understanding of B2B collections processes and strategies

• Demonstrated proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Solid experience in Cash Applications

• Proven ability in managing and assessing credit risk

• Must possess strong leadership skills to manage a team

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills are required

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues

• Demonstrated ability to implement and monitor financial controls

• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
