Description
Robert Half is partnering with a client out of the public utility management near Middlesex County in the search for an Accounts Payable Clerk. The company offers great experience and a close knit office environment. The responsibilities of the role are as follows:
Accounts Payable
Invoice processing
Three way matching of invoices
Coding invoices to the general ledger
Cutting checks
Working with the Accounts Payable aging report
Obtaining payment voucher approval
Reconciliations to sub/general ledger
Preparation/filing of 1099s/1096s
Preparation of cash collection summary
Cashier experience preferred
Software:
Prior ERP/software experience
Microsoft Excel (import/export, formulas/functions, vlookups)
Requirements
1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Demonstrated knowledge of Prepare Checks
Coding Invoices experience highly desired
Adeptness in general ledger
Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel
VLOOKUP experience highly preferred
Foundational knowledge in Coding Invoices
Proficiency in 3 Way Matching
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
General familiarity with Aging Reports
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
