Position: Bookkeeper - Direct Hire/Full-Time
Location: New Haven, CT
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
Our client, a well-established and reputable company located in the New Haven area, is seeking a talented Bookkeeper to join their busy Accounting team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records of business operations, including: daily transaction entries, account payable/receivable, and financial document audits. This is a full-time, direct hire role that offers a positive work environment and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records and documents
Oversee and manage general ledger
Conduct monthly reconciliations and close processes
Prepare various financial reports
Ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is a plus!
A minimum of 3 years' experience in bookkeeping
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel)
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and planning skills
Excellent communication (both verbal and written)
