We are in search of a VP/Director of Finance to join our team in the Elderly Housing industry, based in New Haven, Connecticut. As part of our team, you will play a critical role in managing our financial operations, providing strategic financial insights, and leading our financial team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of providing affordable retirement living facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all accounting functions including GAAP monthly closings, financial reports, and documents.

• Drive strategic planning and financial forecasting to support business growth.

• Manage the annual budget process to ensure financial efficiency and sustainability.

• Oversee our Real Estate Property Management function, including rental and leasing programs.

• Utilize tools such as RealPage and QuickBooks to streamline financial operations.

• Implement and manage auditing processes to ensure financial compliance and transparency.

• Manage Cash Flow and Investment Management to ensure optimal financial operations.

• Leverage your knowledge of elderly entitlement programs to support financial planning and decision-making.

• Lead and manage the financial team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

• Develop and deliver presentations to communicate financial status, updates, and advice to key stakeholders.

Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance leadership role.

• Proven expertise in Accounting Functions, Annual Budget, Auditing, and Budget Processes.

• Experience in Real Estate Property Management is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in Month End Close procedures is required.

• Familiarity with RealPage and QuickBooks software is essential.

• Demonstrable experience in Strategic Planning within the financial sector.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to make strategic decisions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.

• Professional certification such as a CPA or CFA is an advantage.

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
