Robert Half Administrative /Patient Services Coordinator I in New London, Connecticut

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced administrative/patient services coordinator to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals. This vital role will interface directly with patients and work cross-functionally with our administrative and clinical teams to create a positive and smooth healthcare experience for all our patients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.

  • Ensure timely and inclusive communication via email, telephone, and in-person with patients, families, and staff.

  • Coordinate patient care activities such as referrals, insurance pre-authorizations, and treatment planning.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.

  • Support office management tasks including inventory, procurement of supplies, maintenance of office equipment, and facilities management.

  • Improve patient care quality by implementing innovative strategies and practices in the healthcare processes.

  • Coordinate and participate in meetings and discussions with different departments to streamline operations.

    Requirements

Ideal Candidate will possess:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.

• Excellent communication and customer-service skills for interacting with patients, medical professionals, and insurance companies.

• Proficiency in medical software, electronic health records systems, and Microsoft Office.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminologies.

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required.
