Description
We are seeking a Bookkeeper for our client in the non-profit sector, based in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a Bookkeeper, you will be tasked with managing financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll. This role offers a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable
• Perform account reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy
• Oversee bank reconciliations to validate our financial transactions
• Handle bookkeeping tasks to keep our financial records organized
• Provide data entry services to enter financial transactions into our internal databases
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets and reports
• Perform month-end close procedures to ensure all financial data is accounted for
• Manage payroll tasks to ensure all staff members are paid accurately and on time
• Use Sage Accounting Software to streamline our accounting procedures
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper in the Non-Profit industry or a similar role
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records
• Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage cash flow effectively
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of bank statements and financial data
• Strong knowledge of Bookkeeping practices and principles
• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks quickly and accurately
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
• Experience in Month End Close procedures to ensure timely financial reporting
• Knowledge of Payroll processing to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
• Familiarity with Sage Accounting Software for efficient financial management and reporting
