Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science -Degree or equivalent experience; Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Business Management preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word and Excel. Proven written and verbal communication skills, including Quality Manual and Second Tier Procedure Writing skills.

  • Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills.

  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and proven decision-making skills.

  • Ability to interact with all levels of our organization.

  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers.

  • Ability to work in a team environment with proven interpersonal skills.

  • Initiative to identify areas, propose and initiate solutions.

  • Experience in the management of 6S projects.

  • Two years of Quality Assurance experience preferred.

  • Familiar with Quality Management systems, preferred.

  • Certified Quality Auditor, preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • The distribution and assignment of the Quality Program Manual to persons listed on the QPM controlled copy distribution list.

  • Maintain the Master Standard Operating Procedure Manual on a controlled copy basis.

  • Maintain a controlled documents distribution list for all controlled documents.

  • Assist the Technology Group with the development of inspection procedures for new products.

  • Responsible for the control, calibration, and maintenance of all test, measuring, and inspection equipment used to determine final acceptance of products.

  • Provide a monthly summary report of non-conformities to the Director of Quality.

  • Implement the investigation, reporting, and subsequent disposition of nonconforming products.

  • Evaluate non-conformities, audit results, quality records, customer complaints, and other sources of error information monthly, and initiate a corrective action plan if necessary.

  • Ensure that all Quality Department personnel are trained and qualified to perform their assigned job function.

  • Maintain files on individuals within the department documenting qualification requirements that have been completed.

  • Submit to a monthly report on the changes in manpower loading during the month for personnel in the Quality Department. The report shall also note training requirements completed and those in process.

  • Initiate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and revisions to SOPs for activities in the Quality Department

  • Ensure that the latest edition of an SOP is available at workstations for each employee under his authority.

  • Ensure the addition of new SOPs and the replacement of revised SOPs at workstations for activities in the Quality Department.

  • Review and approve requisitions for the purchase of critical items and services.

  • Maintain quality records as required

  • Maintain and distribute Customer Specifications on a controlled copy basis.

  • Purchase inspection and test equipment used for final acceptance of products.

  • Contribute to quality by assisting with employee training programs, interpreting, and enforcing quality procedures, monitoring employee performance and attitude, and by communicating overall awareness of good quality.
