Description
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in New Orleans, Louisiana, who will be instrumental in performing complex financial forecasting and analysis. This role is crucial in our team's ability to maintain financial stability and drive the economic growth of our company. The role is focused on revenue-related projects, including creating budgets, forecasts, and promoting best practices for proactive financial management. Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain complex budget and forecasting scenarios, long-range planning, and analyses for financial reporting and presentations.
• Research and synthesize data; interpolate results from large amounts of data, draw conclusions, develop solutions, and implement recommendations.
• Engage in continuous critical analysis of existing systems and processes; make recommendations to achieve greater efficiencies and improve internal controls.
• Identify and resolve unique issues with substantial significance; recommend and develop solutions that may require policy changes or the development of new processes.
• Lead and support unit and organization strategy and change management initiatives.
• Contribute primarily through applying individual expertise, which may include supervising, training, coaching, and reviewing the work of other staff.
• Review and approve financial elements of contracts, and make recommendations to unit administrators and/or senior management.
• Promote best practices for proactive financial management.
• Help ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Act as the subject matter expert for complex financial, policy, procedural, and technical issues.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 4+ years of progressive financial analysis experience required.
• Proficient knowledge in Budget Processes is mandatory.
• Experience in Expense Reporting is essential.
• A strong background in Finance is required.
• Proficiency in Forecasting is crucial.
• Advanced skills in Financial Modeling are necessary.
• Extensive experience in Financial Analysis is a must.
