Senior Investment Associate
Real Estate Development
We are representing our well-established local client to fill a new position in the New Orleans area. The Senior Investment Associate is a newly created role for this organization with multiple revenue streams in real estate and development. The team is looking to add more strength to their local finance bench to work closely with the development and acquisition groups on a wide variety of national deals. A background in mid to large sized commercial banks in the real estate department, multifamily developer or any developer where complex modeling is required, or any real estate private equity real estate firm could be ideal training for this opportunity. This is a strong team with excellent collaboration across departments to develop, vet and ensure solid financial results throughout the process.
To be considered for the role, our client is ideally looking for a candidate with:
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other business-related area and MBA and finance related advanced degrees or other accreditations are a plus
· Expert proficiency in Excel modeling is required
· Experience with or knowledge of underwriting required to support the team with input on leverage, equity structures, risk tolerances and other important considerations when considering new projects
This is an exciting role working in a team environment on both acquisitions and development deals where the Senior Investment Associate will be involved in the origination of underwriting and the development of the project budget. Requirements
• Applicant must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Investment Analyst or similar role.
• Proficiency in conducting Due Diligence is mandatory.
• Familiarity with Equity Capital is required.
• Experience in Commercial Real Estate Investment is essential.
• Proficiency in Underwriting is required.
• Knowledge of Leveraged Finance is required.
• Demonstrated ability in Risk tolerance is a must.
• The applicant must be able to work well in a team and have excellent communication skills.
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly skilled at Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with financial modeling techniques and valuation methods.
• Ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• CFA certification or progress towards CFA is a plus.
• Knowledge of financial software applications is desirable.
• An understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial industry is beneficial.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information.
• Strong work ethic and a passion for the financial markets and investing.
