Description

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our client's dynamic team. You will be responsible for planning and directing all accounting operational functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial data, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. Your ability to motivate others and provide exceptional client services will be key in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the month-end and year-end close of the income statement and balance sheet, perform account reconciliations and general ledger analysis.

• Develop and present cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash.

• Oversees sales tax reporting, filing and participation in external sales tax reviews/audits to both the Parish and State.

• Compile and present monthly financial reports

• Perform analysis and identify business trends

• Carry out both high-level and day-to-day functions while working directly with the accounting/administration team.

• Utilize your skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and Workday.

Requirements

• Must have expertise in full cycle accounting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary; experience with large ERP systems is required

• Must have experience with Month End Close procedures

• Experience with Workday software is beneficial
