Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in New York, New York

Description Accounting Managers looking to work for a successful organization that will recognize their efforts will be interested in Robert Half's opportunity work with a thriving company. This position is for candidates who can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. You might be a good fit for this position if you have the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. Based in the New York, New York area, this Accounting Manager position is a terrific opportunity for permanent employment.

Major responsibilities

  • Assemble a variety of technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses

  • Work closely with FP& A and accounting management to create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

  • Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

  • Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met

  • Regularly review and inspect balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant

  • Possess a working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

  • Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration Requirements - Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

  • Demonstrated knowledge of bank reconciliations

  • Cash Collections experience preferred

  • Cash applications experience

  • General familiarity with Intercompany Transaction

  • Adeptness in Cash Collections

  • Command of Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Financial statement preparation experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Solid technical skills

  • CPA/MBA preferred

  • 5+ years of recent relevant financial experience

  • Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation
