Robert Half Accounts Payable Accountant in New York, New York

Description

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in the hospitality and real estate industry, located in New York, New York. The successful candidate will handle full cycle accounts payable tasks, maintain vendor records, and assist in implementing and maintaining financial software.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable tasks including bill entry, matching purchase orders, and issuing invoices

• Conduct reconciliation of vendor statements regularly to ensure accuracy

• Maintain and update vendor records diligently

• Resolve any accounts payable discrepancies and issues in a timely manner

• Prepare and issue checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments

• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for financial review

• Assist in the monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables

• Implement and maintain the financial software system to streamline accounting functions

• Utilize accounting software systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, Data Processing, ERP Solutions, and MRI for various accounting functions

• Handle accounts payable (AP), check processing, discrepancy resolution, and expense reporting.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable .

• Proficient in Nexus or Appfolio a huge plus.

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP).

• Able to handle Check Processing and resolve Discrepancy issues.

• Knowledgeable in Expense Reporting and proficient in using MRI software.

• Experience in Commercial Real Estate Investment is a plus.

• A degree is preferred.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Must demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.

• Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to financial policies and procedures.

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to Accounts Payable.
