Description
Growing New York City organization is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator. Ideal candidate for the Accounts PAyable Coordinator position will be responsible for handling payable expenses, generating AP aging schedules, and assisting with month-end close. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Process payable expenses with accuracy and efficiency
• Match, batch, and code invoices for payment
• Cut checks for payable expenses as necessary
• Generate and maintain AP aging schedules
• Assist with month-end close procedures
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing
• Conduct check runs to ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to manage Check Runs and Coding Invoices.
• Solid Data Entry skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
• Experience in Invoice Processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for maintaining and analyzing financial data.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• High level of organization and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
