Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in New York, New York
Description We are offering a role in the Real Estate & Property industry, located in New York, New York. The job function is to perform as an Accounts Payable Specialist and this offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Processing AP invoices and check runs
• Handling reimbursements, billing, coding, and check cutting tasks
• Processing payments and resolving discrepancies as needed
• Engaging in Project Accounting type work, as required, for ad-hoc projects
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Processing, Data Entry, Discrepancy, PAYscan, Yardi Voyager, Real Estate, Bank Account Reconciliation, and Process Payments skills
• Maintaining accurate records of all transactions
• Ensuring all payments are completed on time (monthly, quarterly and yearly)
• Managing vendor queries regarding payments
• Reconciling payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar role within the Real Estate & Property industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Check Processing and Data Entry
• Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies
• Knowledge of PAYscan and Yardi Voyager software
• Understanding of Real Estate transactions and processes
• Experience in Bank Account Reconciliation
• Ability to Process Payments efficiently and accurately
• Experience in Billing processes and systems
• Maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred
